Product Review: NYX Butter Glosses

Hey cuties! So I've been people raving about these lip glosses for a while. Especially one of my favorite youtubers of all time, Claire Marshall. If you guys don't watch her, I suggest you go look her up right now because her fashion sence is impecable. If she recommends something, I automatically want to buy it. So, that's how we got to this point. Let's get onto the review, shall we?

I love it when you can see the color of the product through the packaging. It just makes shopping a whole lot easier and I don't have to look up swatches online. Most of the time, I just want to browse around, grab a color I like, and go. I don't want to make a game out of it. I give the packaging two thumbs up. :)

I started out with one shade. . . and then another. . . and then another. It's just how it works. And the labels are a little beaten up because they've been rolling around in my purse.

What I love about these lip glosses is that I can either wear them on their own for something easy, or I can tint a lipstick to match the exact color that I want. For example, I mostly wear nudes on a day to day basis. When I want a pinkier nude, I add Eclair. When I want something more peachy, I go with créme brulee. Or just the perfect nude (for my skin tone anyway), I stick to tiramisu.

This is by no means a long wearing product, and it doesn't claim to be. They are moisturizing, they don't feel uncomfortable on the lips, the color pay off is pretty good, and they smell like candy. What more can you ask for? Oh, and they're cheap, too! Only about $5 each.

Overall: I love these. I just have these three because I've been wearing mostly nude colors all winter, but in the spring time I'll get some more fun colors. We are approaching bright lip color season! But I defitenly recommend these

P.S. Sorry for not updating often. School and work is a little crazy right now, I've been sick and I had to work a couple extra shifts to fill in for people. :( But in a few weeks it'll be back to normal and I can get my life back! I just have to survive finals. . . See you next time! XD

Product Review: Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara

Hey cuties! So I've been gone for longer than I would like to on this blog. You can blame school and work for that. But! I have another review for you guys! I've been wanting a mascara that makes my lashes look huge so I can look like I'm wearing false lashes. And, let's be honest, most of the week that's all the eye makeup I wear.

So, the first thing I noticed about this mascara was the name. I guess lashes are one of the only things you want to be big and fat. And when I read the description, I was sold.

The brush is really unique because it matches the name. It's big and fat and I've never seen anything like it. When I pulled it out of the tube, I thought, "wow, that's huge" *enter that's what she said joke here* (sorry, had to).  Anyway, it's a rubber brush and I feel like it really grips to the base of your lashes and fans them out. I don't even need to wear eyeliner with this because it just creates line for me.

I absolutely love the effect this gives to my lashes. It makes them look longer, thicker, and really big. That's all a girl can ask out of a mascara, right? I did not experience any smudging or anything like that. Once this stuff is on your lashes, it's pretty hard to get off so make sure you have a good makeup remover. Since Ubran Decay is a high end brand, this costs about $20. That's a little steep for just a mascara but it's worth it if you love it.

And since my eyelashes are blonde, you guys get to see the color. I can tell when a mascara isn't evenly applied because it'll look like I have a bald spot in my lashes. Makes sure to apply mascara to all your lashes!

Overall: I really love this mascara. I've tried a few other higher end mascaras and this one is my favorite. I definitely recommend it if you're like me and like something quick and easy. I want to try other mascaras to see if they compare to this one. But until them, see you next time! XD
