Etude House Wonder Pore Freshener

Hello everyone! Scincare is something I definitely need to work on. I always buy makeup but I don't buy skincare very often unless I need or run out of something. But, summer is coming and I don't want to wear a lot of makeup. So I need my skin to be looking nice and clear!

I think we can all agree that Etude House has the cutest packaging EVER! I like how the packaging releases the perfect amount of product for my entire face. Sometimes packaging can release too much or too little product.

The claims are that it cleanses pores, maintains ph balance, control sebum, minimize pores, refines skin tone, keeps elecisticy, and moisturize your skin.

Now, do I think it does all that? To a point, maybe. But it's kind of hard to tell if the ph balance is right or if it really gets deep into your pores. What I can say is that my skin loves this stuff. Every time the seasons change, my skin likes to break out. I just put a little extra of this on my breakouts and the next morning they are smaller and easier to manage. This suprised me because it says nothing about acne on the packaging (at least not in English). I'm still oily, but I do feel like my pores are smaller and it does clean my skin a little more after I cleanse. It's very light and it does not leave my skin feeling sticky.

Overall: My skin likes this, so I like it. I would definitely reccomend this if you are looking for a new toner, or maybe you like Korean skincare like I do.

Have you guys tried this? Or do you have any other skincare suggestions that I can try? See you next time! ^_^

Ipsy May 2014

Hello everyone! So this is my first Ipsy bag! I know some people really like subsription boxes, and some people really don't. This box is only $10 a month so I didn't think that seem like a big deal if I got a bad box here and there. I just wanted to try it out and if I didn't like it, I could always cancel it.

Usually, ipsy gives out 5 products a month, some of them full size but most of them are deluxe samples size. There's different variations depending on what your tastes are and your skin tone and whatnot. So here's what I got!

So the most interesting product I got was the Avène Thermal Spring Water. It's a multi-use spray that you can use of chapped skin, sunburns, sensitive and inflamed skin. There was a sheet with all of the many uses on it so it's not just limited to these. When I tried it on my arm, it was very cooling so I think it will be great on really hot, humid days. It's not warm yet because it's been a very cold year where I live but it's always super humid so I will be saving it for those times. Another product is the Sans Tan Ant-aging Sunscreen it's pretty pretty basic but I don't have an SPF, I usually just wear a foundation with it built in, but this is really nice to have just in case. The Pacifica Mineral Eyeshadow Duo was kind of a dud, the pigmentation is not very good and the texture is kind of chalky. I give it a thumbs down. I already tried the Eva-NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask and it made my hair super soft. If I can find it and it's not too expensive, I'll think about getting it. As for the last product, a teeny tiny sample of the Calvin Klein Endless Euphoria perfume. I was actually going to buy a new rollerball perfume this weekend for my purse. But now I don't have to! It's only a 0.1 ounce but I get bored of scents really easily. This is a very light, fresh scent that I really like so that is a plus.

That's all I got! For my first ipsy bag, I'm not disappointed. The eyeshadow wasn't very good but it is full sized and I'm happy with all of my other samples.

What do you guys think of subscription boxes? Have you gotten ipsy boxes? If so, what do you think of them?

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

Hello everybody! Summer is approaching and when I think of summer, I think of tanned, bronze skin. And since I don't want to actually go out and tan because of sun damage, we can always fake it with bronzer!

Ulta was having a special if you spent $30 on Too Faced products, then you get a delux sample of this bronzer for free. (*cough cough* hint for future reviews). This was perfect because when I looked at in the store in the past, it looked a little too dark and I didn't know if I could make it work. Plus, it's going to take me a long time to work my way through this since this is a really big sample.

First of all, this stuff smells amazing. I love how it smells like chocolate and it's called the Chocolate Soleil bronzer. It's a super cute concept.

This bronzer is very pigmented and very easy to blend into my cheeks, but it is easy to go overboard since it is very pigmented. If that happens, then just go over it with the brush you used for your foundation and you should be good to go.

One thing that I don't like about this is that it is too dark. I can make it work by just barely tapping my brush into it, but darker skin tones would love this a lot more.

Overall: Really great product, but Benefit's Hoola bronzer is a better color for me. I wish that this suited me better and maybe if I get a tan then I will be using it a lot more.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation

Hello makeup junkies! It's been a long time since I tried a new foundation, so after contemplating for months, I have finally gotten my hands on the Tarte Amazian Clay foundation.

One good thing about Tarte as a brand is that they focus on very natural makeup that is not tested on animals. So there are no bunnies harmed in the making of this foundation! ;D

I found that this foundation is very long wearing with my oily skin. It doesn't last all day without any touch ups, but I haven't found something that does. Does it last 12 hours? Not for me. If you have normal to dry skin, then this definitely will. But since my skin is really oily, I do see it start to break down by the end of the day.

The coverage is medium to full with a matte finish. If you want something with a more satin or dewy finish then this might not be the one for you. The texture is very thick but it feels very lightweight on the skin. Sometimes I like that feeling, but if I don't really want to deal with it, I mix it in with a bb cream to get the texture of the bb cream and the coverage of the foundation.

Overall: I really like this foundation. It's probably not my holy grail, but do see why so many people like it. The search for the perfect foundation continues!

See you guys next time! XD
