FOTD: FESTIVE HOLIDAY LOOK

Hello everyone! So, I'm a little late with this post but Christmas Eve is tomorrow and this will be the makeup look I will be wearing. Red lips are a must for this time of year so I thought I would incorporate a red lip color this time around.

Base: I always prime my face, and right now I'm currently using the Benefit Porefessional. I like this one because it has a silicone texture but it does not feel like it clogs my pores. Then I use my Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation all over my face because I wanted a matte finish with this look. I also used MAC Sudio Fix Concealer in NC15 on my blemishes. This is the best concealer for blemishes that I've tried so far. And to cover my panda eyes, I used my sample of the It Cosmetics Bye-Bye Under Eye in Nuetral Medium

Eyes and Eyebrows: My eyebrow product doesn't really change, the Anastazia Dipbow Pomade is the best, my shade is Blonde, obviously, haha. I have been loving the Elf Longlasting Luminous Eyeshodow in Toast because it's a beautiful, glittery gold color that is perfect for Christmas and holiday looks. I put that all over the lid and then I blended some Faint from the Urban Decay Basics Palette into the crease and Venus in the inner corners and brow bone. And now for my favorite part! The cat eye! The Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liner is great for having a lot of control and it makes it so easy to get the perfect flick. I finished off the eyes with the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. Feel free to add lashes if you like, later on in the day I put on some individual lashes.

Cheeks: I did some light contouring with the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. Look at the pan on that thing! I need a new one soon. And for my blush, I used the NYX Creme Blush in Natural.

Lips: Lip liner is a must with a red lip, the one I used was the Rimmel Exaggerate Liner in Red Diva and the Revlon Laquer Balm in Enticing. I wore this lip combo to the mall once and I had multiple people complimented me in my lipstick. You know when it looks good when strangers ask you what you're wearing.

And there you guys have it! Let me know what you will be wearing this holiday season! See you next time! XD

Cult Classic: MAC Rebel

Hello everyone! I really need to do a haul post because here's the second thing that I bought during my birthday week. It'll be up soon, I promise! But I thought I would do a post on MAC's Rebel because sooo many people talk about it and I broke down and got the lipstick as well as the travel sized lip glass.

As you can see, the swatches are beauitiful! I love the purple-berry tones in it. This shade is perfect for fall/winter. I find it easier to wear than really vampy shades because it does not require as much upkeep and it a softer look. If you're into berry lips and you don't have this shade, run out and get it because this perfect.

But, as for the lip glass, I would pass. It sometimes bleeds out of the lip lines, and that is something that I usually don't have have a problem with. It's gorgeous swatched, but on the lips in can look uneven and weird. It's a good thing I didn't buy the full size because I won't be finishing it. It works for a little something extra in the center of the lips, but I make sure to be careful and not go too close to the edges. I think I would love this formula in more natural shades, but for this deep berry color, I don't think it was well executed.

MAC: Rebel

MAC: Rebel + Rebel Lip Glass

Do you guys have Rebel? What do you think about it? Does it live up to the hype? See you next time! XD

Review: Tonymoly Petite Bunny Gloss Bars

Hello everyone! It's been a while! I decided to take a break from blogging to collect inspiration and focus on my studies for two weeks. But, finals are over and I can get back into the swing of things! It was my birthday recently and I got a gift card to amazon so I decided to get something that I've always wanted but never just buckled down and ordered it. And that was the Tonymoly Petite Buuny Gloss Bars! They are so dreaming cute! I mean, the different shades have a different face, and it has ears. Tonymoly gets an A+ for packaging.

If you're looking I to getting these, don't expect bright color right away. The swatches that I show are very concentrated but I built it up to show the color. I really like the formula because some days, I don't really want a ton of color on my lips. These shades are bright, but they are so easy and they brighten up the face. I like to wear these when I'm having a lazy makeup day and need something to perk up my complexion. And since they are more on the sheer side, they fade very gracefully and if you apply enough, it will leave a slight stain. They don't have a strong scent, so no worries there. The shades I got were #6 Juicy Orange (left) and #4 Juicy Cherry (right). Even though it's winter, I will still rock a bright orange or pink lip, I don't really care about that sort of thing. So if you're into these kinds of colors, I would definitely suggest these.

I'm looking forward to getting more shades! Let me know your favorite Korean lip products, because I'm planning on ordering more. See you next time! XD

MY EVERYDAY FALL/WINTER MAKEUP

Hey guys! I haven't been in the mood to experiment with different makeup looks so I've been doing this look every day for about a month now and I don't see myself stopping. It's very simple and does not require and thought, which is perfect if you're a student like me or you have really early mornings.

Base: First, I used my Etude House Bright Fit Precious Mineral BB Cream in W13 all over my face. This BB cream is great for winter or if you have dry skin and it just perks up your face because it has a dewy finish. Then, I move onto using a sample of the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye concealer in Neutral Medium that I got in my most recent Ipsy bag. You literally need half a pea size for both eyes because it's sooo pigmented. For blemishes, I love the MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC15. Lastly, I set everything with Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.

Brows: I went in with my Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde to fill in my brows and cleaned up the edges with the MAC concealer with a concealer brush. My brows were not working with me today so they weren't at their best. But, what can you do? They have minds of their own.

Eyes: I have been obsessed with gold eyeshadow ever since I saw a photo of Park Sora rocking a golden-bronze eye look. First, the gold shadow from the Maybelline The Nudes Palette goes all over the lid and the shimmery bronze-brown blended lightly into the crease. I finished off the eyeshadow with the Estee Lauder Pure Color EyeShadow in Tea Biscuit in the inner corner and brow bone. For my lashes, I used the Covergirl Lash Blast Volume mascara. Since I've been too lazy to bother with eyeliner, I do a couple coats of mascara to make my lashes look fuller.

Cheeks: I contoured lightly with the Benefit Hoola Bronzer and used Milani Luminoso for blush. I know it's not a fall/winter color but it's so pretty that I don't care. Plus, I think it goes well with the gold and bronze eyes.

Lips: I outlined my lips with Rimmel Exaggerate lip liner in Eastend Snob and then topped it off with a sample of the Starlooks lip gloss in Guilty Pleasure.

There you guys have it! Let me know if you like these kinds of posts. I tried something different this time around. And tell me what you do for an everyday makeup look! See you next time! XD

CHEAP DRUGSTORE FACE MASKS

Hey guys! My skin has been so angry lately because it snowed where I live! We're already below freezing temperatures and it's not even Thanksgiving yet. Since it's colder, I got some new skincare items to share with you, and they're from the drugstore! So you won't have to break the bank this winter.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask: I've spoken about this mask before, but I still really like it. It's one of those masks that is a bright green color like you see in the movies. If you're looking for a clay mask that is going to draw out dirt and impurities, then go for this. I find that this mask makes my pores smaller and my skin smoother, but it is the harshest one out of these three masks. Just make sure you use a good moisturizer after so you wont dry out your skin.
Freeman Cucumber Peel-Off Mask: This is a fun one because this mask come out a gel, but after time, the tackiness goes away and you can literally peel it off of your face. There's a weird satisfaction that comes along with peeling off your face. This mask is supposed to get rid of impurities without drying it out, and I would have to agree with that. It's more gentle than the Queen Helene mask but it's not as effective.
Freeman Golden Grain Brightening Mask: If you're into sheet masks, then I would suggest this for you. In the US, sheet masks are pretty expensive, like $3 a pop, but this mask will give you the effect of a sheet mask without the sheet. This is supposed to moisturize and brighten, but I think need to use it more than once a week for the full effect. Yes, it does brighten a tiny bit in one use, but continuous use would optimize the brightening properties.

There you go guys! Those are the face masks I've been using in rotation for the winter time. And all of them are not tested on animals! So no bunnies were harmed! Let me know what your HG skincare products for winter are. See you next time! XD

RECENT PICK-ME-UPS

Hey guys! I have not bought anything for myself in almost a month and a half. That means no lipsticks, no clothes, and not even those random snacks that you just pick up. I have a ton of birthdays in the months of September and October so I've been spending my money of gifts for other people. And now that Christmas is just around the corner, it's going to be a while before I can go back to my regular shopping habits, haha.

My mission was to find some new, fun tops to include in my rotation. I've been wanting to get some things from Brandy Melville and Pacsun carries a few of their clothing items. This Cat Muscle Tee caught my eye because it's black, I can wear it many ways, and I have a black cat. Being the proud kitty mommy I am, I had to get it. Another item I've been wanting is a chunky gold chain, but I didn't want to spend a ton of money on one since I was still iffy on how I could wear it. This one was under $7 from H&M. And now for the beauty products! My HG dry shampoo is Batiste in the Blonde shade, I needed a new one, so I got one. That's it, what more can I say? Next, I went to Ulta and I went in there to get more NYX Butter Glosses but I walked out with the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde and the Freeman Golden Grain Brightening Mask. I didn't even get any Butter Glosses. That's what Ulta does to me. And lastly, I was lusting after red lip glosses. Why? I don't know. Sometimes I get a random thought and think, that would be delightful! And I can't get it out of my mind until I get it. It's usually something stupid like cucumbers or red lip gloss. Anyway, I bought one of the Maybelline Color Elixirs and I really liked it and wanted more shades. So I killed two birds with one stone and got the shade Signature Scarlet.

What have you picked up recently? See you next time! XD

THE HALLOWEEN MANICURE

Hello everyone! Are you all excited for Halloween? Are you going to any parties? I'm not a party person but I was invited to multiple parties and it was hard to choose which one to go to, what I'm going to wear, how to do my makeup, blah blah blah. What are you going to be? Whatever it is, I'm sure you're going to look cute because all my readers are adorable. :D But, I found the perfect fall manicure! Well, if you have pumpkins on your nails, then you might beat this, but for us lazy girls, one color is enough work.

I first saw this polish when Claire Marshall on youtube mentioned it in one of her favorites and I thought it was the perfect Halloween nail color because it's a beautiful almost-black color. And come on, that name puts the cherry on top. Wicked, as in wicked witch, get it? Just me? Okay.

That's it for this quickie post! Let me know your favorite fall nail polish shades. See you next time! XD

MY HAIRCARE ROUTINE

Hello everyone! I get asked about my hair a lot, like if I dye it and what products I use, stuff like that. And let me tell you, I don't spend a lot of time on my hair at all. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to styling, so anything that makes it easier to do my hair, I'm all for trying it.

Background: I have fine hair, so heavier products that are supposed to moisturize your hair weigh my hair down and make it look greasy and gross. And no, I have never dyed my hair. Occasionally, like once a year, I will use gradual lightening products (a.k.a., blonde highlighting shampoos, leave-in sprays, ect.) to keep my hair the shade of blonde that I like. As for the texture, I have very straight hair. I can air-dry it and it'll look like I straightened it with a flat iron.

Washing: I wash my hair every 2-3 days. Washing your hair everyday can strip it of its natural oils and ultimately dry it out. At first, I had to train my hair to get used to going that long without a wash. Your hair will be greasy some days but in time that will reduce and you can go 4 days without washing it. And yes, you can still shower everyday, haha. Just put your hair up in a top knot or a shower cap to prevent it from getting wet. Sometimes when I tell people that I don't wash my hair everyday, think that I don't shower for 3 days. No, I live for my shower every morning.

The Products: I have found my HG haircare range! And it's super cheap so it won't break the bank. *drum roll* It's the L'Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 line! Everything I've tried from this range, I loved. I don't need as much repair as it claims to give, but I do use heat and it does take a toll on the health of my hair. The shampoo and conditioner help reverse that (or at least makes it look like it did) for everyday use, but the repair balm is great if you want something that's going to pack a bigger punch. This range makes my hair soft, shiny, and look healthier. And for those days that I'm not washing my hair, dry shampoo is a must. Out of the million dry shampoos that I've tried, the Batiste Dry Shampoo in the Blonde shade is my all time favorite, but since ran out recently, I'm currently using the original which is still good, especially if you don't want anything tinted.

Styling: I feel like you can get away with dirty hair more if your hair is curly, I don't know if that's just me. But personally, I like messy, curly hair because it's fun and effortless. I'll just curl my hair one day, and then wear the curls the next two days. If they start to fall, I just go back in with my curling iron, touch it up a bit, and then I'm out the door.

Let me know some of your HG hair products! Do you like curly or straight hair? See you next time! XD

5 FALL LIP COLORS!

Hello everyone! Is it just me, or do you guys love fall lip colors? It pains me to put away my bright oranges and corals, but I'm happy that I can pull out my berry and plum lipsticks. They just make me feel like a badass, does anyone else feel like that? Since I'm easing my way into bolder colors, most of my vampy shades are from the drugstore. Out of my entire collection, these are the top 5 colors that I will be using this fall!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry: If you are looking for a deep vampy shade for cheap, this is the the lipstick I would suggest. It's very versatile in the way that you can apply it lightly with a lip balm and it will be a wash of berry, but if you build it up, it's a rich color. One of my all-time favorite youtubers, Clarie Marshall, mentions this shade a lot and that made me rush out to the drugstore to get it, and now I have been converted.

Revlon Lip Butter in Sugar Plum: This is great if you're looking for an easy-to-wear plum color for fall. It shows up more on the purple side but it's not going to be too bold to make people like me, who are not used to bold shades, uncomfortable. And you don't have to worry about upkeep with this shade because it fades nicely and does not leave a lip liner effect.

Maybelline Color Whisper in Berry Ready: This shade, oh goodness, this shade is soo pretty. I saw it on my friend and she looked great in it, so I had to have it. And then I had my friends in my art class try it and they look great in it, too, and we all have very different skin tones. Almost everyone can rock this and the formula is very comfortable and it smells like fruity pebbles. Enough said.

MAC Shanghai Spice: Fall is also the time for smokey eyes and heavier eye makeup, and that calls for a nude lip. I like Shanghai Spice because it is a beautiful peachy shade that goes well with my skin tone. If I don't know what to wear, it's usually this because I know it's going to work for me.

Rimmel Exaggerate Full Color Lip Liner in Obsession: A liner is a must for most vampy shades to make sure it stays in place and looks clean and neat. This particular shade is in the middle of brick red and berry so it can lean either way depending on the lipstick you choose. Or you can wear it on its own for a long-wear, matte look.

Let me know your favorite fall lip colors! Especially for MAC because, I have an addiction and I want/need more MAC lipsticks. See you next time! XD

4 Disappointing Products!

Hello everyone! It's been getting harder and harder to find time to sit down and actually write. I wish I can update every day, but I can't. :( But we're here, so let's get down to business, products that just didn't work out for me.

Nyx Glam Liner: This is a glittery liquid liner I got in a set around Christmas time and it just sucks. It makes your eyelids feel tight and constricted. Plus, it flakes like no other! By the end of the day half of your eyeliner has chipped off. Don't buy it.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss: Don't shoot me, but I don't like the Maybelline Baby Lips. It's not a very good lipbalm, and it doesn't have a lot of color, so what can I use this for? It smells good, but it doesn't do what it's supposed to. It's just useless.

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains in London Posh: I know that some people love the Moisture Stains and some people hate them. I've only tried this shade, but I wouldn't recommend it. The color is really pretty and shiny, but it's so patchy. It likes to bundle up in weird places and it just looks off. Plus, the smell is weird and chemically. Maybe the other shades work just fine, but this one is a no go.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in Classic Ivory: First of all, to address the packaging in the photo, all of writing has rubbed off because it keeps on getting thrashed about in my makeup collection. But the thing is, I don't necessarily hate the formula of this. It's a good foundation, but the color I chose is waaay off. Classic Ivory has a very pink undertone and it just does not work with my skin. It made me look fake and it was just weird to see myself with a pink-toned foundation. I'm definitely a yellow-toned girl.

Makeup is very personal and some of these things might work for other people, but they just didn't for me. Usually, I can't do these types of posts because if I don't use something, I find someone who can so it's not a complete waste of money. Let me know what product didn't work out for you! See you next time! XD

Fall Outfits On Repeat!

Hello everyone! Yay! I have a fashion post! I don't do them often, usually I just show you what I butlothing wise in a haul. But I'm trying to do different things with my blog lately and this is what I came up with! I don't have a way to take pictures of me in the clothes right now because I didn't have someone to take them for me. Plus, I hate awkward posing, you guys already know this. ;P I have a few options just in case you want something cute, comfy, or edgy. Usually I like to rock all of them, it just depends on how I feel that day, haha.

Cardigan- Target
Tank Top- Charlotte Russe
Skirt- Pacsun
Booties- Target
Necklace- H&M

This is the outfit I wear when I want to look girly, which isn't often but I still get those days where I just want to wear a skirt and prance around. Sometimes if I don't feel like wearing pink, I'll go for a deep purple cardigan so it's not as girly, but still cute.

Sweater- Khols
Jeans- Khols
Booties- Shoe Department
Necklace- H&M

It's not fall without sweaters. This one is fun because it is oversized on me and it has a big hood. Plus, the sleeves get really long and I can pull them over my hands when they get cold. I almost always up my jeans when wearing ankle boots, I don't know why. It just looks more flattering.

Leather Jacket- Target
Tank Top- Charlotte Russe
Jeans- H&M
Nude Heels- Target
Scarf- Pacsun

Leather jackets are a staple that I am obsessed with. I want every leather jacket I see, but they are usually really expensive. I wanted the nude heels because it makes the legs look longer and the pink scarf softens up the look a bit.

Let me know if you are interested in more fashion posts! Or what kind of format you would like them in. See you next time! XD

Catch 'Em All: Revlon Lip Butters

Hey cuties! Last week was crazy! I didn't even get to update even when I had this post photographed and ready to go. But anyway! I'm here to talk about the insane about of Revlon Lip Butters I've collected over the years. They were my first lipsticks I owned and I still use the crap out of them on a daily basis. I know that some people think that these aren't all that great, but I personally really like them. Obviously, if I bought 8 of them.

Here's my entire collection. I tried to do an artsy photo but it didn't really work out. I'm trying to get better, you guys!

The packaging on Berry Smoothie shattered! It fell of the floor and it broke somehow. Oh well, it still works. It's just not pretty anymore. :(

Candy Apple: This is such a fun red shade! It's more of a summer red but it is just bright and easy to work with.
Tutti Frutti: A bright, bright orange color. It's a staple for a lot of people, especially if you're like me and love oranges.
Juicy Papaya: Okay, this shade is probably one of my favorite lipsticks of all time. If I had to have only one shade for the spring/summer time, this would be it.
Peach Parfait: This is my second tube of this shade. That's right, I used up a whole lipstick and this one is on it's way out, too. It's the perfect everyday color for me.
Strawberry Shortcake: I don't wear this shade that often because I haven't been into bright pink lipstick, but this is a pretty shade and I should wear it more.
Sugar Plum: A great fall color. It's a sheer, deep purple color. I like to wear this on days when I want to wear a dark lip bit don't want to touch it up all day.
Pink Truffle: I'm iffy about this shade because it is pretty, but it's kind of mature on me. It's just a browny nude that would make you look sophisticated. But if you have a deeper skin, this would be gorgeous.
Berry Smoothie: Again, if you have a deeper skin tone than me, this is soo pretty! I mean, it's good on fair skin, too, I just love the way it lookes on deeper skin. I have this to one of my friends for Christmas and she looks great with it.

That's all of them! I think the lip butters are great, but I think my collection is complete for now. I have all of the shades I could possibly need and I want to try other lip products. Let me know what I should try next! See you next time! XD

Product Review: Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse

Hey cuties! So I was in randomly in Ulta one day and this weird thing happened. Somehow, products just found their way into my hands and before I knew it I was at the cash register, handing over my money. Who am I kidding? I've been wanting to try this Tarte Brow Mousse since it came out. I finally got my grubby little fingers on it and now I'm doing a review! That's how it works, right?

First of all, I love how this comes with a double-ended brow brush. It's really good quality and you don't have to buy it separately. The actual product comes in a little pot with the iconic Amazonian clay logo. Also, Tarte is one of those brands that is very naturally-derived and cruelty free. So no bunnies were harmed in the making of this product!

When I first tried this, I was really impressed by the look it gave me because it was really easy to get the shape that I like. I think that's partly due to how this the brush is so it gives precise lines. The product is creamy enough to blend but dry enough that it's not going to make your eyebrows look or feel wet. If you're like me and you need to reconstruct your brows from nothing, this will probably work out well for you because you can build it up without looking like it's too much. A little goes a long way so I have a feeling it'll last me a really long time.

Okay, now for my favorite part. It lasts so long! I mean, I put this on at 6 am, go to school, go to work, run some last minute errands, get home around 9 pm, and my brows are still there. I love my Anastazia Brow Wiz, but it didn't last that long.

Okay, I'm still iffy about the color. I got the shade Taupe, which is supposed to be cool toned, but this is really red. I don't like red in my brows. It still works for me, but I was pretty disappointed. Eh, maybe I'll get over it, maybe I won't. But that is something to be aware of if you get the Taupe shade.

Oh, what? A picture of myself? This doesn't happen often, but I endured the awkward posing for you guys. But you can see how it looks on me. ;D

So what do you guys think? Yay or nay? Do you like warm or cool toned brows? I love warm tones, but it's a different story when it comes to my brows. See you next time! XD

September Ipsy 2014!

Hello everyone! I have another Ipsy post for you guys! If you don't know what Ipsy is, it's a $10 substion service that sends you personalized sample bags with 4-5 products. Sometimes they even include full sized items and it almost always exceeds the amount that you paid.

This month's theme was based off of Fashion Week. I like how edgy this bag looks because I'm in love with edgy fashion.

1. Nourish Organic Moisturizing Cream Face Cleanser: When I saw that I was getting this, I was kind if disappointed because I've gotten cleanser samples before and I was just getting bored of them, but this is a really good size cleanser! This can last me a couple weeks. And sometimes I run out of cleanser and I just don't want to go to the store and spend my money on boring things like cleanser (and deodorant, I hate buying deodorant). Plus, my skin gets dry in the colder months so maybe this will help.
2. Caviar CC Complete Correction Leave In Conditioner: I tried this today but I wasn't thrilled by it. So, meh. Good size, though. It's supposed to have 10 different functions that is supposed to change your hair drastically, but doesn't every hair product say that? I couldn't tell a difference.
3. Hikari Lipstick in Cabernet: I saw this in the sneak peak on Ipsy's Facebook and intantly wanted it. It's a lipstick, a beautiful red color, and the brand sounded Japanese. What more could I need? And I'm pretty sure this is full sized. So good job Ipsy!
4. Crown Brush Dual Ended Eyeshadow Brush: I don't have a lot of brushes, so I'm glad to get this! It's pretty soft and it looks like a good size for my eyeshape.
5. Pacifica Eyeliner in Gun Metal: I like this pencil, but I'm not sure that I will wear a grey eyeliner. It's nice, but I don't know. Maybe I can pass this down to someone, or maybe I'll use it more than I think? We'll find out.

So that's all I have for today! Let me know if you guys still want Ipsy posts. Or maybe some other different kinds of posts? See you next time! XD

Battle of the BB Creams!

Hello everyone! There are some products that I'm always interested in trying, and one of them is BB cream. While looking through my collection, I noticed that I had 5 different BB cream! Do I need 5 open at one time? No, but I'm addicted to makeup and I have a problem. But since I have so many, I thought I would round them up and talk about them!

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream No. 21- This is probably the most basic BB cream out of my collection. This would probably suit all skin types and they have the best color selection. It doesn't accent dry patches and the oil control is decent, but nothing amazingly fantastic. The finish is more on the satin/dewy side, somewhere in between there. It does have a stong scent to it so if you're skin doesn't handle scents, then skip this one. The only down sides are that it comes out a little grey and it just doesn't stand out in my collection. I like it and I use it, but nothing life changing.

Étude House Preecious Mineral BB Cream W13- If you have dry skin or that dewy-skinned look, then this is the one for you. I really like this one in the summer because it gives a glowing from within look. The oil control isn't the greatest but with blotting sheets, it holds up pretty well. It's hydrating and blends into the skin nicely that looks very natural. The color selection isn't great (they have 4 shades) but it's better than one shade like some brands.

Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream No. 1- You guys, I'm obsessed with this BB cream. This is a water-based, jelly like BB cream that literally feels like you have nothing on your skin. It's lighter coverage but you can do two layers if you need it without getting cakey. It holds up on my oily skin pretty well throughout the day. I just love it. Out of all of these, this is definitely my favorite. But, it only comes in two shades and the packaging is not so great for traveling.

Holika Holika Petit Tea Tree Clearing BB Cream- This is a close #2 behind the Aqua Petit. What I love about this is the oil control, it's great! It only comes in one shade. :( But if the color works for you and you're oily, then definitely get this! It's cheap, has light-medium coverage, and it has tea tree oil to add in some skin care benefits.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream Light/Medium- This is the only Western BB cream I own, mostly because they suck. (Sorry, but it's true). This BB cream is very light coverage but it feels very light on the skin and this particular one has salysilic acid to help clear breakouts. I feel like it does something to help my skin instead of just moisturize. It's nothing like my Asian BB creams but it still is a good base to have on more natural days or when your skin is having some trouble. Just add some concealer and you'll be just fine!

The reason why I have a lot of different shades is because I use them throughout the year and some are my summer BB creams and some are for winter/fall. Just in case you were wondering. ;D But Holika Holika BB creams are where it's at! In my opinion, anyway. Let me know what your HG BB cream is so I can try it out! See you next time! XD

Product Review: Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment

Hello everyone! I got a couple requests to do a review on this sample that I got it my Ipsy bag because this is a super hyped and expensive face mask! I mean, $69 a pop kind of expensive. I don't know about you, but if I'm shelling out that kind of money, I want to make sure that it's going to work miracles for my skin.

Yay! Awkward face mask pictures! Sorry for the poor quality in the photos, my camera was not working with me.

First of all, I noticed that this has bits of what looks like tea leaves in it. Sometimes they fall off when you're trying to apply it only your skin or it just sticks on until you wash it off. I don't know what they're supposed to do but my guess is to help exfoliate. But other than that it applies pretty smoothly and it's easy to get a thin layer all over your skin.

While you wait 10 minutes for the mask to dry, you do feel a slight tingling sensation. It's not painful or anything, I find it refreshing, but that's just me. It will harden and make your skin feel very tight like most clay masks. Sometimes you can actually see the dirt and gunk that was in your pores. Like on my nose in the picture, you can see the tiny spots. Yeah, that's dirt. Gross, I know, but you guys asked for it!

Since this is an exfoliant, you want to use circular motions while you wash this off. When it gets wet, it turns into a scrub that leaves your skin very soft. Right away, I could see that my pores were smaller and my skin was smoother. It removed the dead skin and make my skin feel very clean. If you skin is sensitive to exfoliants, then I don't think this is going to work for you because it's very gentle. My skin can handle more abrasive exfoliants so it's not a problem for me, but for others it can.

Is it worth $69? Um, yes and no. I think that other clay masks and exfoliates can get the job done, but not as well. If you have the cash to spen on it then by all means try it out. But if you're a student like me, you might want to save it for when you have a gift card to Sephora. . . or two. I do really like it and I want more of it, but I think I'll just keep trying to get samples of it.

What do you guys think? Let me know if you've tried this mask before. See you next time! XD

Product Review: Maybelline The Nudes Palette

Hey cuties! So I just got back from a very busy week so if I haven't been updating as much as I would like to. But, I have a fun review today! It's the first big eyeshadow palette I've seen come out of the drugstore. Why hasn't anyone done this before?! I feel like I always lust after palette but then cringe at the price tag because most of them are high end. Maybelline is selling this for about $9.99 at Target so it's very affordable. Yay!

First thing, I don't like the packaging. In the store, I saw that some shadows were shattered so that made me think that it's not sturdy at all. So be careful to not drop it and check out the shadows before buying. Plus, there is no mirror. And with a palette this size, there is more than enough room for a mirror. So overall cheap packaging.

Okay, onto the possitive! The shadows are places in where they can be used as duos, trios, or quads. And they include diagrams on where to place the shadows and looks you can follow. I love how much thought was put into the colors and the placement to make it easie for the user. If you are a beginner or know someone who is, this is perfect because you can learn what kind of shadows go where and are given some direction.

In my opinion, the shadows work best as quads, and that is how I swatches them. I just found that the colors worked best this way.

As you can see, some shadows are better than others. I loooove the second "quad" because of the golden/bronze colors, but the third is a total dud. I would say that the shimmery colors gave off more color than the matte. The texture is okay, more on the hard side, I'm not blown away but they're not terrible. These are the kind of shadows that really benefit with the help of a primer because they just need something to stick to. Afterwards they were great shadows to wear on an everyday basis and you can get so many looks out of it. I would recommend this if you're a beginner or if you want more neutral eye shadows (a girl can never have enough ;D). But just keep in mind to use a good primer.

See you next time! XD

Secrets of Blogging Tag!

Greetings beauty junkies! It feels so nice to be blogging again after a week. My work schedule was a little hectic but I finally have some time to myself. :D But, I was recently tagged by the wonderful Shireen (go check out her blog, she's super sweet) to do the Secrets of Blogging Tag!

1. When did you start blogging and why?
-I would guess I started blogging last year. I'm not totally sure, but you can definitely see my skills progressing since then. I learned how to do my brows because of this blog! As for why, I wanted a place where I could talk about makeup with people who are also passionate about beauty and products. I was a little late on jumping onto the makeup-loving train, but now I'm hooked.

2. How many people in real life know about your blog?
-Only one person. I should probably tell more people but most of my friends aren't into makeup. That's what I have you guys for! XD

3. What are your favorite posts to read?
-I loooove lip product posts. Major lipstick junkie over here! I'm always in the mood for a new lipstick to try out.

4. List a blog you've recently discovered.
-The most recent one I've followed is ANNESUE

5. What post are you most proud of?
-Oh, that's a hard one. I've been trying to get different kinds of content out there so I would say some of my recent ones, I can't choose one specific post.

6. What advice would you give future bloggers?
-Put out content that you would be interested in reading. If you wouldn't be interested in reading it, why would anyone else? And put some personality into your posts, it makes your content stand out compared to everyone else. Be yourself! Have fun with it.

I don't know about you, but tag posts are always fun. What do you think? See you next time! XD

August Ipsy 2014!

Hey cuties! Yay! Another Ipsy bag! If you don't know, Ipsy is a subscription service that costs $10 a moth and you get 4-5 deluxe samples or full sized products.

The theme for this month in Beauty Schooled and the bag looks like a pencil case! Sometimes they give the cutest bags.

1. Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment (sample size): I've been wanting to try this for so long! Everyone talks about how amazing this mud mask is in just one use. The problem is, the full size is $69. So I'm glad I get to try it out if I want to start saving up.
2. Coastal Scents Eyeshadow Sample Set 23 (sample size): These baby eyeshadows are really cute! I was worried I wasn't going to get colors that I would like, but I can make these work. The pigmentation is actually pretty good since I know Coastal Scents is an inexpensive brand.
3. Bee All Natural Grapefruit Lip Balm (full size): I believe everyone got some sort of lip balm this month. I gave this to my mom because she loves both grapefruit and lip balm. I was glad to see it was all natural ingredients and organic.
4. Manna Sheer Glo (sample size): I haven't gotten a highlighter in an Ipy before so I curious to see how it works out. You can use this like a traditional highlighter, mix it in foundation, or your body lotion.
5. Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Pencil in Plushie (sample size): I was seriously going to go out to Ulta to buy this exact eyeliner, the same shade and everything. But now I don't have to! I love this because 1) purple eyeliners are my favorite. 2) Urban Decay eyeliners are fantastic. 3) it's called Plushie, and if you're into Anime, you know what that is.

Okay, that's all for this month's Ipsy! I'm more excited about this month's bag than last month. If you're interested in signing up for ipsy, here is my referal link. See you next time!
